At the request of members of parliament or on its own initiative, the Scientific Unit conducts research and analyses scientific information likely to shed light on political debates. The Scientific Unit's research work is published in documents that may vary in format and structure.
Conferences, events and training
The unit coordinates and organizes conferences, events and training, with the aim of bringing together the political and scientific worlds
Promoting scientific culture
Through a varied range of actions, the unit plays an active role in promoting scientific culture notably in partnership with the National Research Fund (FNR).
International networks
In its mission to contribute to the influence of the Chamber of Deputies, the Scientific Unit establishes connections with with other foreign parliamentary research services and is involved in international networks of scientific advice,

The Scientific Unit also participates in teaching, research and student supervision activities in partnership with the University of Luxembourg and other academic institutions
